SO i have a 2000 lincoln LS that is having many issues all of a sudden. We were testing for current draw and all of a sudden everything went dark. The headlights, interior lights, trunk lights stopped working. Also all but the drivers windows doesn't work, heating/ac controls, horn,locks, and the car doesn't start. I've tried disconnecting the battery, replacing the battery, inspecting the cables, testing the ignition wires among other things and at this point am thinking the pcm went out. Trying to see if anyone has had this problem before i do get a new pcm first though!

The PCM wouldn't keep those other items off. You've blow a fuse or two, or messed up some of the relays. The REM is also in the picture as it controls the power to most of those things.
Be aware that there are fuses and relays in the trunk and under the hood. There are also fuses under the dash. Don't just look at them, test them.

Not to add to the OPS confusion but after running probes across God knows what, if all the fuses and relays test out OK and it cranks but doesn't turn over, Perhaps check your Fuel Pump Shut Off Switch, it's located in the drivers foot well behind the kick panel. Red reset button.
Running probes across sensitive circuits may have shorted something and I would have a look at seeing if the fuel pump is running or not.

checked all the fuses and they are good. checked under the hood, dash and trunk. it doesn't crank at all, seems that some of the dash lights don't turn on. if i have the key to the "on" position i can hit the status button a few times and it lists engine sensor error, door sensor error, trunk sensor error, and exterior sensor error so that's why i was thinking it was either the pcm, rem or fem. Just wanted to make sure before i buy one and which i should get. the fuel switch seemed fine, would think it would crank or have power to those accesories in the car either way.

I really don't believe that it is any of those modules, but be aware that if you change out the PCM or the cluster, you will be towing it to a dealer to "remarry" the modules so that it will start again.
It sounds like you might be better off to go ahead and tow it in and pay the $100 diagnostic charge to find the fuse/relay/circuit that you blew up.

Isolate just one item like the fuel pump not coming on and work backwards till you find where the power stops. Try disconnecting battery for a while to reset everything, then follow the power again until you find the culprit. It's there someplace. Never had this problem on my 01, when the alternatory was about to fail then electronics went nuts, all lights came on, but this sounds like a shorted battery or wire off terminal. Sooooo what you're saying is that everything was working until you TESTED for current draw???????????????????????Then everything stopped???You obviously shorted something or blown relays. I know, do an easy horn check, take out relay or fuse and check for power. Be sure and check the switch on the drivers left kick panel.

Well brought it to the dealer and after 4 hours of diagnostics they said the reverse light was shorting out and causing the problem, also said something about the radio backfeeding into the light which may have caused the problem... note to everyone don't buy cheap brands or you pay for it in the long run!!
