2000 V6 shifter is bad....HELP

Okay, from my other thread I learned that in order to fix my problem with the shifter that I have I will ahve to replace it. Now, I have found an 03-05 shifter on ebay for like $25. They look the same except for the color, so I am wondering if the linkage and all that would line up. Does anyone have any ideas here?

It wouldn't surprise that would fit. But to be sure, I would call a salvage yard and ask them to check their Hollander and see what it says.

I asked GrayGhost1 if it would work and he said that the 03+ would not work, but a 00-02 shifter, whether SST or not, would work, but before i spend a bunch of money, I am going to have the dealership sheck it out and see what they say.
