Looking for a LINCOLN LS V8 TRUNK LICENSE PLATE HOLDER, I work at Best Buy. I just put two Alpine Type R's in my trunk and it sounds great but I went to put the dynamat behind my license plate and it looks like a screw is stripped outta the top 2 screws. So my car rattles a bit so I have to find this part asap!!!.. Its getting hot out and I have to have it looking right. I saw one on ebay but its missing th emblem and they wanted a crazy price for it.

sorry to hear about the screws...great choice on type R's...I'm interested in getting the Type X set installed but want my car 100% fixed before any more mods.....I'd like to see pix if you get the chance!

happy huntin!

Hey Kelly. I have a rear license plate surround for sale. I am looking for $125 shipped. I had a guy who wanted it but then didn't want it because the top bolt that is behind the emblem was busted off(it breaks on every rear surround from what I've read) even though I said I would epoxy it back in place. Well, epoxied it back into place and used Gorilla glue so it should hold.

So I just re-read your post and don't think you need a new surround. The plastic pieces that the screws go into on the rear license plate holder fall out easily after some use. On the rear surround that I just took off I noticed how the last owner fixed the problem you described. He simply drilled through the trunk where the screw goes and then put a bolt/screw through with a washer and a nut to hold the plate in place and make sure it was all secure.

you can go to autozone and get a new set of screws that come with the plastic inserts (one of my screws got stripped out too) pop out the old insert and pop in the new one, however the license plate wil still rattle because there is no screws on the bottom, i just epoxied small bolts on from the back side of the whole surround and then use nuts on the outside to hold the plate. two layers of Xtreme help out out a lot too

which amp of theirs did you do with? the rockford 1000 or a pair of their alpine 500's or 600's
