My wifes LS had started doing the minor mis-firing thing a few months ago. It just got bad enough for us to be concerned so we dropped it off to the dealer. The first go around was the cylinder coil pack on cyl. #2. The very next time she drove the car it started acting even worst, so she was near the same dealer and dropped it off for the second time. It was coil pack on cyl. #8. Now, after seeing the labor cost for changing these items I know I can change them as well. I have already replaced all of the plugs, both of these coils and I am still having issues. I'm now driving the car to troubleshoot it. A couple of days ago on low-end the car died on it's face and gave me a P1309 code which I understand is a Camshaft Position Sensor. I cleared the codes and was driving the car again to try and replicate the problem and it did basically the same thing with few other crazy things. The car did not only stall it lost gear tracking and I got 3 new codes including the P1309. The other codes were P0715, P0720 and P1633. I found what all of the codes mean, but which is the real problem. I don't think I have a bad battery, so will the camshaft position sensor make the car get these other problems? Sorry for such a long thread.
