on the front and rear bumper of the 2000 LS there in a chrome strip.. i've seen alot of LVC members that have blacked this or have it matching their car... i was wondering how you go about doing this... i want my car totally blacked out.. does this trim have to be painted or simply removed? also the license plate surround is chrome.. is this the same process

last off has anyone converted their interior from tan to black?

The chrome-less look comes on the sport model LS, as well as the LSE. Those cars came from the factory without the chrome. You could have your chrome pieces painted, but you'll want to make sure they're well prepped.

when you say well prepped what steps should i take? can these be painted still on the car or should i take them of and send just the pieces? kinda a newbie to the whole paint game and your help is very much appreciated

I would advise that this isn't a DIY job. Contact some local paint shops and look for the cheapest price. There would be ALOT of prepping with it.

buy new front and rear sport model bumper covers....better yet get 03+ sport model bumper covers

for prepping you'd have to tape off around the chrome, sand the chrome so it't roughed up enough to take the primer. Use a tack cloth to remove any leftover dust. Prime. Sand. Paint. Clear coat. Sand. Sand. Rubbing Compound. Swirl Remover. Those are just some of the steps...
