HEy guys, I have a couple problems. Would a new fuel filter or pump help my first problem, and would the SCT flasher help my 2n problem??
First issue
The other night I had just put in a full tank of gas and had to get back into traffic so I eased into the gas (like normal) then gave it all the way so I wouldnt spin them out of the station. Well it hesitates, then jumps, hestitates again and the picks up speed again. It happened to me again today when I was passing someone on a two laned highway. I gave it full throttle and it felt as if it was having a hard time keeping the pace. It started out fine, then it dropped its acceleration for about 2 tenths of a second, then full power, and then dropped it again. Could I have a bad Fuel filter? I think that there isnt enough gas getting to the engine.
The next one is something weird about the way the car shifts.
When I first bought this car it shifted down just fine, but now it seems like it will NOT shift down. I tried to get it to shift down into 2nd going about 50 by just laying on it, but it dropped to third only. The same goes for 1st gear. I'll be going about 15-20 and the engine wont shift to first, it will shift to 2nd and wont take off worth CRAP! Anyone have any ideas? Would the SCT flasher help my problem?
