ok working on a friend 1999 deville and figured out the ignition switch actuator rod is broken behind the turn signal. at first i though it was the ignition lock cylnder itself so i have the steering column torn doe that far. how much more fun am i in for trying to dig this linkage out of the column or is it even a replaceable part? local pull a part has column for $42 thinking about going that route to.
