120 cut off

does anyone have any idea why my 02 v8 cut off at 120 i thought it wasnt susposed to cut off till like 130 something?

my 1st gen had its speed limiter set to about 122

had my 2000 to 135, my o4 only hits 130

To my knowledge, the gen 1 has no speed limiter, unless you count the air resistance.

really 130 in your gen2.... mine has seen 145, drafting a 2dr. honda accord V6 on the freeway.....

I believe the non-sport Gen 1 has a limiter. Sport doesn't---been to 140.106 in 1 mile.

mine was defently not a sport, not a V8, and had a pretty low coeffecient of drag, but it would defently pull pretty good until just over 120 then coast down about 5MPH then start to pull again.

btw my 2nd gen will only go about 130MPH until i get an Xcal

well i was running my bud in his 05 3.5 altima an just as i started to pass him my car cut off. it really suck how can i change it?

I've had mine to 142 with 3 people in the car on a longggg road in the middle of nowhere(speedometer accuracy depending, stock everything). 120 seems low for a cut off. QuikLS has had his into the 150's but that's with a shot of nitrous.

Ive only driven mine to 101. My son is almost always with me, and I can't risk a 100mph+ tire blowout. If it were just me, I'd go for it.

130 slightly downhill, just me in the car. Have hit 126 with a friend, started to run out of road, not pull. [V6]

I've got an 02 v8 and it cut off at 120 on me. I was just starting to get into it too.
