Well guys.. the lincoln ls gone.it was so hard to give her up, but i really couldn`t pass up this deal. At this point though i am pretty happy with my decision. I went to a local dealership here to test drive one of the 07 altima v6`s that my friend just bought, and was going all crazy over it, and i didn`t like it. so i was on my way out when they showed me a 300c for 30 grand that looked pretty good. i test drove it and left that day because they wanted to give me 4500 for the ls. lol.. yea.. so they called me back 2 days after and said they would give me 7422 for it. so i went back in and after 3 more hours of negotiating, i got 9700 for the ls with 106k miles on it. trade in value was 5200, and i still owed 11g on it, that was gonna be gone next year, but anyway... the 300 that was listed for 30,950, blue booked at 30,800 and i ended up getting it for 26grand. so all in all i rolled there in a car with 6 grand in negative equity and left with an 06 300c HEMI with 16k on the dash for 2 grand under retail bluebook. the car was to be auctioned the next day so they were gonna loose money anyway, so i just stuck there till they got tired on me.. :-D i then realised that the 300 had quite a bit more features on the way home and ALOT more power. 340hp.
extra features include: auto dimming side and rear view mirror
tilt down mirrors in reverse
digital readout for tire preassures
memory function also included radio stations
380w sound system
HID`S
chrome trim package
chrome 18`s
proper cup holders ( i had a 2000 )
ALOTT more options for modding
and of course the hemi.
i really didn`t like the car till i owned it. my friend has the 3.5 base model and i wasn`t too fond of it, but i am happy with this though. sorry for the long post but i wanted to share my story. i will definitely be hanging around, and i will miss the lincoln.

nice. good job getting the price for the ls up and the 300 down.

i dont mean to hijack your thread, but does the 300 have a full frame? ive been wondering that for some time.

I test drove a 300C Hemi. I couldnt take the plunge though. I really just dont like Chrysler--which pisses me off because of some of the great new stuff they have.

All I can say is out of the pt and into the fire. Good luck with the Cry-sler. I love the look but have not heard many nice things said about it. Whoa sort of reminds me of a certain luxury car :)

congrats! 300 looks nice, my LS is going soon too, SAD but the car is out of production and I need to move on as well.

Thanks for the compliments (those who gave them). I have no idea about the frame setup. i know some import cars are going to full frame but i didn't really do that much research on the car. i did a little bit but not that in depth.i didn't plan on buying the car, but i couldn't pass the deal up. i am learning as i go.
I personally haven't heard anything bad about it from owners. i think the only thing i have heard is wind noise on the highway but thats what the wifes 07 avalon is for ( road trips ).and the shaking at idle. (thats because it idles at 500rpm). in case anything goes bad, i have a warranty soo... we will see.. i love the car so far though. the power is great. definitely a difference going from 255hp to 345hp with pretty much the same gas mileage.
I will see how it holds up though. and i will only have it for a few years probably 2 1/2 like all my other cars, till i start looking at other cars.

thanks man. it is also kinda weird seeing 7 types of intakes, 20 types of grilles, over 100 types of rims , 5 types of exhausts and headers...and so on to choose from. thats definitely something i didn't experience in the LS world. i still love my LS though.

i hear that. i wasn't really feeling them too much because everyone has them but the color i have is very rare where i live and there are a whole bunch of 2.7l and 3.5`s. i think there is 1 other one. i am only 22 so i am still testing out the market to see what i really like.

I am starting to feel the same way about my '03 LS. SAD is true that they are end of life and I need to move on soon too.

I don't like the 300's, I test drove one before I bought my LS. They do not hold their value so the price just tanked on it as soon as you drove it away. I was looking at 300C's when they were going for almost $40,000.

I really like the new BMW's, a few Mercedes and the new Altima Coupe looks really good so do the Maxima's.

You made a good decision though and got a great deal on that 300C and I respect that.

Congrats and keep us updated on its performance and any issues you may have. The aftermarket parts for that car is also awesome, you will have fun with that car.

i hear you on that one man. i am really enjoying the car plus all the options, but i would not buy one brand new. i test drove an 04 e-class, 2006 bmw 330 and 530 and they were just so plain i really wasn`t impressed. they sorta reminded me of my 2000 vw jetta. i could have gotten a new altima for about the same price but i just felt bored after driving it for 10 mins. because i had already figured out how to used everything in the car. CVT is not really my friend either. when we bought the wifes car, it was down the the maxima and the avalon both 07.to me the avalon beat the maxima hands down. still nice cars though. just too much to choose from. :D in the end. its just what you like.

Thats what im trying to do. Thats a pretty nice deal. Ive got 88k on my 00 ls8 and im wondering what I can get on a trade. I was thinking the 300 or an audi a6.

Rather have ls over 300c anyday...... I test drove 300c wasn't feeling the interior nor the ride quality. The lincoln was a much better ride and comfier. But ya if you dont like it just sell it and flip it for a profit since you got it for such a great price. After my ls im looking at a suv either 03 navi or 03 EXt :)

there's also a lot of 300 forums which should be helpful. congrats, my friend has a base model and wasn't impressed with it. but i'm sure the hemi and it being a 300 C will make it more worth while. you got a good deal on your trade-in. if i could get that much i'd sell it right now, lol. once again, congrats.

Lol, if you were in winnipeg you could easily make 15g's+ off your ride. Hopefully i make a good coin when i sell it ;)....lol

Nice deal on the 300. Those are pretty sweet cars. Ive always liked the way those look, but I drove one and didn't like it that much. The windows are too small, and the side view mirrors have to be mounted too high because of that, so they get in the way when you're trying to see around a curve. More so than the LS, which has the same problem, except the windows are bigger.

but does the 300 have a full frame?

It has a Uni-body frame if thats what you're asking. Its built on the same frame as the last generation Mercedes Benz E class.
It also has the same steering column, turn signal stalk, and even the gear shift grip is the same design as the one used in the 02 and earlier E class, among other things.

thanks man.. my friend has a base touring, and i drove it 70 miles about 9 months ago and i didn't like it very much. The C feels better in my opinion. different seats, steering wheel, and adjustable pedals and everything. not that i have been driving it for about 3 days now its becoming very comfortable. Its definitely a love it or hate it car and i am slowly loving it more as i drive it.
on the trade, i tried trading my ls in last year and the most i could get from a few places was 8500 with 98k lol.. who would ever think my car would have appreciated :D

Which version did you drive? it took me about 3 days to get really comfortable in it. i usually drive with my seat all the way down, but in this car i had to raise it quite a bit because i was looking dead at the steering wheel because it is so high. lol.. but there is alot more driver space that i am getting used to and liking.

That C in the 300 makes a whole big difference. The base or even the limited has different lighting which make it look cheap. The C looks great and has a great performance.

I would go with looks first as got plenty of power already. Maybe a grill, tint and some nice Asanti 22s.

That means alot coming from you man.. i see so many 300`s out there that are overdone with chrome everywhere, so i plan on keeping this clean and classy. at this point, i dont even want to tint the windows (YET). if i do, it will be 20 or 35% , definitely a grill, and some simple clean 22`s and lower it a bit.
