We started to have our heat blow HOT steady and turn the inside of our car into a sauna. The only way to stop it was to turn the climate control off. We'd have to drive with the windows open when it's -10 deg C outside.
I ran the code check on the DATC and it came back with 12 65.
I ended up changing the coolant control valve (CCV) on recommendation of other posts and it still would intermittently stick on HOT.
I was about to do some of the voltage checks on the connector of the CCV when I heard some clicking when touching the connector.
I found out the connector would lose connection when I wiggled, I pulled it off and bent the contacts in a wee-bit and it not makes good contact and no more intermittent HOT times.
I contacted FORD and they say it's $116 CDN for the new pigtail connector - Anyone know where else I could buy this?
