04 Headlights In An 02 Wiring Help!!!

I Just Purchased 04 Hedlights None Hid And Was Wondering If Anyone Knows The Wiring Or Does It Plug Direct Into Oh Also I Swapped Out The Headlight Mount Panel For The 03-06 Please Help

As far as I know you just need the new harness that attaches to the bulbs. The old lamp harness detaches from the main harness and the new one should just plug in. At least from what Ive read/seen that's how it works.

I'm about to do the same install and I haven't found an easy solution...

97stscaddy - the problem is that on the 2nd Gen headlights there is only one plug on the back of the headlight assembly. Inside the headlight are the individual plugs for the low beam, high beam, turn signal...

It would be nice to know if the ends of the headlight harness that plug into the body harness are the same for the 1st and 2nd Gen - does anybody know?????

I do know one thing about the 2nd gen lights, they are not the same exact size as the Gen 1. You probably will be cutting your bumber a little bit. But the swap has been done.

Ask one of our resident Ford parts dealers. There are different prices for the harnesses on the 00 - 02 than on the 03+. I can only assume that means its a different harness.

So can you buy the harness from ford?? you could always pop the back off and hard wire the light
