Can anyone point me in the direction i need to go? I can't seem to find anything correctly in the search engines. All Help is welcome of course.

Well 1st: I need to know how to open up the headlight. I am going to color match my bezels to the ext. of my car.

and 2nd: I need to know how to remove the amber lens from the bezel. It doesnt look as easy as it seems.

And this for a set of 2003+ HID Headlights.:hump:

1st: bad news; you have to use a dremmel (or other sort of cutting wheel). There is a write-up and several threads dedicated to the 2nd gen halos. Those will tell you how to open the headlights. Pretty sure you have to epoxy the headlights back together. Use something pliable.
2nd: Pretty sure the ambers just pop out. Use a large flat screwdriver.

I highly recommend you take your time with the dremmel (or practice with a spare headlight).

We'll see if we can find you the link.

Sticking them in the oven will loosen the sealant a little but not enough to make it wasy like the gray sealant. You will probably bend and break a few pieces here and there but nothing noticeable once you install it back in the car. . It took me about an hour each to take apart the fogs with black sealant so headlight will take you a lot more.Prob go with a dremel if you have less patience. I say it can be done by putting them in the oven and working your way around, you just need a lot a lot of patience. But dremel. Or send them to that company that does custom head light work.

Where did you get the hids from?

Probably came with HIDs from factory.

I dont think so cause I remember looking for headlight and him also posting saying he was looking for headlights and saying he needed non hids because he thought they weren't interchangeable but then when he found out they were he posted saying hids would be fine too.

I got LsUnV2's HID's with the Halo's. He doesnt respond very well to my PM's so i decided asking people on here.

sorry busy, u just take screws out around the lens and then cut tthe sealant .. then pull apart,,, then reverse process to put back together.. i used rubber bands to hold lens to housing until the sealant sets up

Hey, thats I said in my little rant on his for sale thread. He just blew me off.

Cut the sealant? Cant he just stick them in hoven for soften the sealant? I read a thread where a a guy cut his open and resealed them. He then wanted to sell them and he stuck them in the oven and took them apart again to show the guy it could be taken apart again with the sealant he used. Why are you taking apart the hids if they already have the angel eyes? Is it the ones with the red surround and you're going to re paint them?

nope. the 03 + headlghts dont have the same glue.. i didnt use glue to put them back together that way they would come apart easier

Yeah they have the black sealant originaly but after you worked on them and sealed it up with whatever sealant you used, can't you just stick in the oven and pull apart? I haven't seen how gen 2 headlight are left after they are opened and resealed but maybe they do come apart real easy by just cutting where the dremel went through.I thought you meant he had to dremel again.

If you have th gray sealent you can stick them in the oven for 8-15 min at 250....or 350, not sure which one, and then the sealant should be very soft and you can pull them apart.Just stick them back in the oven and put them together to reseal or use your own sealant, oh but if you have the black sealant you'll have to cut them open with a dremel or some cutting tool.
