Guys, my steering wheels creaks and screams everytime I take the key out and it collapses for the 'easy exit'. Has anyone lubed it themselves? Do I just spray some grease/lube behind the dust collar, or do I need to open it up, or have the dealership do it? Lemino please!

I took the upper and lower cover off and sprayed some grease on the screw.
buts thats not what is causing it. Any chance someone out there has fixed this problem. Judging by what the search brought up its not very common.

My 2006 does this. The factory grease melted and dripped down one day when it got really hot inside the car. I sprayed some spray grease on the square shaped rod that rotates and goes in and out with the wheel. That stops the noise, but I have to do it every few weeks, so mostly I just ignore it.
