02' LSE V8 lights Dimming/Flickering

Lights constantly dim/flicker. Seem to dim/flicker with the fluctuating of my engine. My car has been overheating as stated in another thread, but this has been going on for awhile. Alternator was replaced 6 months ago when my car would just die out of nowhere. Had it checked and had new alternator put in. I do have a misfire in cylinder 3. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking, you can't put a non-Motorcraft alternator in a 1st gen LS. The problem is the control scheme.

I'll find out where the alternator was purchased. I'm thinking O'Reileys.
