We sawed off the right exhaust because it was completely bent and didn't allow the car to move.

Replaced the rear bumper, just need the LSE valence.

Though we replaced the front right fender, we decided that we can still use the front right door. It was really bent but the guy pulled it out a little so now we bondo it.

We had to take the radiator and a lot of the front of the car apart for the guy to pull the radiator support, so i'm gonna be putting everything back together tomarrow but right now it looks like this.

Currently working on changing the airbags. Got one hell of a good deal on ebay, 49.99 + 25 shipping for the set, compared to the something like 560 for each from the dealer with my dad's lincoln discount. Color matches perfectly too.

After put the engine together and change the airbags, gonna order the LSE fascia, valence, mclaren grille, and hood. Then get it all ready for paint.

I'll be keeping you guys up on the progress

Good choice on the LSE, you are going to be very happy with it when it is done. Can't wait to see it finished.

Looks great man. You are keeping the stock silver right? How much was the fender? I remember I bought a fender from the dealer for mine about 3 years ago and it was about $350 and I got it in 45 days.

much props on all the work on the car, it's coming along beautifully. will be waiting for updates. keep up the good work

Thanks guys!
I'll keep you posted.

Spasibo! Yup i'm keepin it silver. The fender was 250 because my dad works at lincoln and he gets a discount.

thanks again!

coming along, you should keep like a running total. Similar to what you have plus other costs (price of purchase, shipping)

it would be kind of cool

very nice, I love rebuilds, although i noticed you didn't get the LSE rear valence? Or are you doing that later? Keep us updated!

Wait did you smash this up or salvage to go to say? Dude I would have utilized the fact that alot of work would go into it and fab up some off the wall :q:q:q:q.

(Edit:sorry I didnt catch the link..)

1 the airbags, I would have put a nice ass TV in it,2 hows the motor after all this you may have been better at this point since the car was wrecked to find a good swap and break a mold. "I" myself would have taken a great advantage over this and made this car look like nothing else. Thinking about it with all the ebay sales aside. Factory components are expensive to replace so maybe fabbing your own ideas and such would be a good evolution for the cars enthusiast that are into customizing what ever they can on a car with litll and a underground "esq" ( if thats how you spell it) fan base. Before I had my Lisecne a few friends and I would go out and look for reakky cheap beat up casrs nowing that most of the parts are eventually going to be replaced by styling one..Ie busted up bumpers"bodykits can fix those" rusted or dented fenders, they got those to after market with a bit of style ( excluding those z style gill EWWWW!!!)..But mor impoortant is that there has to be some kinda motor that will fit this bay with lots of power, but then you have to think about trans and drive train all to gether, is that smashed as well? Can you find one that fits the mesure ments of the cars overal length from trans to diff?

The best Idea I seen a budy pull off was a Nissan 180 sx, this was all fubar'd so he took the shell and interror and got it for about 500 buck then dumped enough money as it would cost to buy one at adealership and turned it into a sileighty. And it turned out to be worth double the dealer price of the car stock.

But much respect for rebuilding it and giving it a chance at life that one other may have dissregarded...( I wanted to sound sentamentl on that point)..wink wink... The only thing left with out a chance is the one whos last chance was taken away.

Ya TV's would be nice but i just can't afford it yet. I'm thinking that after I get it running, i'll start saving up for that kind thing.

The motor is fine. Most of the damage was cosmetic, the only thing engine related that we had to repalce was the radiator and condensor.

As far as customizing the body, i was thinking of getting the west wing body kit but decided to stay with just the LSE one because i really like the look.

An engine swap would sick but again i don't have the money for that. The tranny and drivetrain is fine right now, so replacing that would be expensive.

thanks!

starting to really come along.. have u thought about shaving the handles.. or some of the body parts.. it would suck to change something after u've already put this much work into the car..

i actually never even considered shaving the handles, i'll definately think about that. thanks for the idea!

I think it would be the best for this car to bring it to stock LSE condition as much as possible.

LSE is as unique as the stock LS gets. I wouldn't do much to it. Maybe some silver 18"-20" wheels and clear corners.

yup thats the plan. i'm also doin the clear corners and wouldn't get rims bigger than 18, i was thinkin black but i don't know yet cuz its not gonna be soon anways.

get the passenger rear quarter panel and taillights and bumper lined up, theres..like..a significant gap between the rear bumper and quarter panel and taillights. but it should still look nice once finished completely

Yeah man I hear that, my LS is in great cosmetic cond. but the rear bumper just has this ugly gap no matter what.
