I know this is a lincoln forum but my wifes buick keep quitting when the engine gets hot / normal operating temp, i have already replace the coils and a fuel pressure purge valve, but i checked the spark plugs and they are .02 over the the .06 standard gap could this cause to a car to quit. If you wait for the car to cool off it will start again, but i am stumped and an feeling like i have socked too much money into it already,

$%^&* Buick

you should put plugs in it due to being that worn but thats not your problem.

check for spark when its hot and not running. ignition modules are a fairly common issue on older GMs. if you have spark try tapping the map sensor with the handle of a screwdriver and see if itll sputter or fire.

i forgot to mention that i did check if there was a spark when hot and i didnt see any, this was in a pitch black garage.
