01 sport vs. 08 civic SI

ok guys, I need some opinions. My cousin's boyfriend swears his civic will take my car. I told him let's run 'em and he responded with "at the track", this puts me at a disadvantage as i've never taken a 1/4 mile pass.

2001 v8 sport 118k. mods: lsd, cone filter with adapter to stock intake tube, and magnaflow mufflers with resonator delete (not full cat back).

My questions are as follows:

1.do you guys think i can take him? (i believe he's stock, sans fart can)

2. what e/t might I expect as a rookie on the track?

and 3. any advice to better said rookie e/t?

i took a stock gsr teggy that i believe has the same motors as those si's and im 100% stock. also are you gonna run with rims on your car from your avavtar looks like you got some rims on the ls

my neighbor has one just like it.. when i had my gen one i beat him off the line.. at speed he took me by a bit.. at this point in time it was completly stock.. now i own a gen 2.. again the ls is better off the start.. in speed it is very close.. just depends if i shift perfect or if he shifts perfect.. if you drive properly you will take it. only mod is the intake. his is standard no mods.

i have 06 ls and i had a 08 civic si 4 door the honda is a dog off the line only real power it has is about 6 grand thats when vtec kicks in but if he has a chip the v tec will kick in around 4 grand

the 20's are long gone (f*#k you rent!), so who would you guys put your money on? i'm a pretty decent driver, and can hold my own at the stoplight, (hypothetically, of course, i would NEVER engage in illegal and dangerous activity on public roads

as long as u got some good launch control, pretty darn good shifting, some good grippy tires, and not too much extra weight on the car, i think your chances are pretty good. those little si's can be tricky tho since there are a lot more options for modding to make it a nice little jap racin machine but if you say its mostly stock you should be able to take him.
