my 01 ls8 shifts threw all gears sometimes will slip going into 2nd in the morning. on the dash it shows E not showing the gear. even in SST. When i first start it ..it will show P/park for about 20 seconds. if i have the engine off. and move the shifter threw the gears it shows on the display the gear selected. if i place it in sst with the engine off it will let me slect 2nd and 3rd not 4th or 5th. car will shift threw all gears driving down the road.
