On My 00 Ls My Front Passanger Side Bracks Squeal. I Have Replace Rotor Once And Brake Pads Twice But Noise Will Not Stop. Does Anyone Know What I Can Do To Fix This Problem, Ie. Special Pads, Special Rotor, New Caliper?

No noise at all from my new Satisfied Pro-Ceramic pads.

Do they only squeal when you apply the brake?
Did you try putting lubricant on the back of the pads?
Did you install the rotor + brake pads yourself?
How bad is the squeak?
When you changed your rotors + pads did you properly BED the pads?

They Only Squeel When I Apply The Brakes. Usually If I Release The Brakes Pedal Slightly The Noise Will Go Away But Sometimes This Does Not Work.
I Put The Anti Squeel Backing On The Brack Pads With The Lubricant Also.
I Installed In The First Time Then Had A Shop Install The Second Time.
The Squeek Is Pretty Loud Due To I Can Easily Hear It Over My Radio With The Windows Up.
If I Remember Correctly I Bled The Brakes Properly And I Am Pretty Sure The Shop Did Also.

Yeah all of the above. Also see my just posted comments on Raybestos pads. I am now convinced they do not squeal, at least in all my uses and especially in comparison to my recent pad change from worn out factory to store brand to Raybestos in the last 6,000 miles. I really like the Raybestos pads, at least so far on my LS and for sure on past vehicles. They are OEM style ceramic pads.

My experience is that the antisqueal blue goo doesn't work for me. It works for awhile but after a couple thousand miles they start to squeal. From past inspection it appears that sometimes the goo "burns" and no longer "glues" the pad in place. I am guessing my driving style, lots of stop and go and occasional fun drives in twisty mountain roads, heats the pads past what the goo can stand. I think with the proper pad backing plate and high temp brake grease, my results have been better than with blue goo. But my last brake pad change squealed even with grease. So I changed to Raybestos.

Also make sure all the sliding contact points of the pads and calipers are properly lubricated.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson

I Just Read That You Post About The Raybestos Brake Pads. Where Can You Get These Pads And About How Much Do They Cost? Sounds Like What I Need.

I bought mine at the local Kragens in SoCal. They cost $52 on sale, I think normal was $69.

I have also bought Raybestos at Schucks in the Northwest. Kragens and Schucks are part of the same company with other popular stores so maybe a web search can show you who in your are is part of the chain. Ah a webpage for kragen shows besides Schucks, there is Checker, Advance Autoparts and Murrays.

Raybestos is an old an respected brand so they are probably available at many other stores.

Good Luck,

i have been having this problem for about a year now, and 400 dollars later they still squeek. i have tried 2 brands from oreillys, one oem brand from advance autoparts, and finally some morse ceramics from autozone and a new set of rotors. all done at different local spots. so whatever works for you please post it. thanks

Satisfied Pro-Ceramic. NO noise and so little dust my wheels still look clean after 5 days of driving. I have slotted/drilled rotors I bought off of ebay 2 years ago.

have you tried just putting original motorcraft pads and rotors back on?

or having a ford dealership do it?

Ive been struggling with this problem for 2 years, ive put on drilled and sloted rotors and didnt get a squeel untill i got into an accident that fuked up my left rear wheel. now i get squeeling in that brake. Recently got new pads and still niose in that wheel So i guess one day ill just get one new rotor. i guess what im saying is slotted and drilled work but untill i get it fixed i cant garuntee it.
