2001 Ls Cold air intake and ram air

General Description

Cold air intake was built by me.

1. 3" thin wall alum. tubing
2. 3" S&D pvc 90s 1 street ell and 1 reg. ell 1 coupling
3. 3" fernco rubber couplings, trimmed as needed
4. stainless hose clamps.
5. 1" hose barb, 1/2" hose barb, 3/8 hose barb.
6. thread sealer
7. super glue
8. flat sheet of stainless for heat shield
9. maf sensor adapter and filter from parts store.
10.ram air tube: 3" alum tube and same ells.

great DIY project easy cheap and it works... :D

That's definately the cheaper way to go but that shit looks HELLA NICE!!! I give you props on creativity!!!
 
no it just made a heck of a difference in low end and gave it that tuner intake sound...:)
 
I think Im take it off this summer when I can ride my bike for about a week and polish all the aluminum that is showing on the intake.
 
THIS IS AWSOME, i just did a little mod to my air box, but i did the same with the hole in the fender for ram air, what air filter did you use?
