My roomie has a Conti and found something hanging from the rear of the vehicle. Says it has too connectors and it looks like it was mounted to a metal tray that is pretty much rusted away. Any clue what it could be?

Does the 97 have an anti-theft module like the Mark? My roommate has an issue where its killing the fuel pump, at least according to the shop. On the Mark you can unplug it and your fine, just no more alarm. How is the Conti setup? If there is a module, where is it?
