It was even simpler than that. The left side cable ferrule had not been re-inserted into the metal bracket so there wasn't enough take-up for the actuator to reach full stroke. A 2-second fix once the wheel was off. That might have otherwise cost me $500. Thanks again, guys. Chuck

Yes, that is one of the things I'm trying to avoid, having to switch tires on rims too often. Have you tried a set of Taurus wheels to see if they will clear the caliper? A local tire dealer tried a generic Ford wheel and it would not fit. Best bet right now seems to be to lurk on eBay...
