My 1999 That's ok at least your '97 has that option. I looked in the owners manual and it does appear that ride control is an option for 1999 model at least, maybe it became standard in later models.

option not there i press the button and only the option for ease of steering comes up and if i keep pushing it just beeps...

Did I miss something or is that an option? My 1999 Conti has no buttons or options for that I don't think. I can adjust how easy it is to steer...easy, normal , hard..but not suspension.
