Looking for a 2000-2002 mint LS.

Hi everyone, haven’t posted here in a long time. I have been missing my old LS for a while now after letting it go, kind of been playing with idea of getting another one. Looking for a first gen, doesn’t matter V6 or V8, has to have sunroof and preferably sport package, also in great...

Is the windshield top molding removable>?

I replaced my windshield since the top seal had shrunk. I don’t believe you can change it without replacing the windshield. Looked good as new once replaced.

2004 LSE brake pad upgrade suggestions

Akebono Euro Ceramics are the only pads I use on my cars if they are available, for my XFR they didn’t have any so I went with Bosch Ceramics also good pads, but make some dust (little).

Stainless Steel Bakes Lines - Any Problems with Fitments?

I had them on my LS, no issues, brake pedal felt much better with them than stock lines.

01V6 motor mount replacement level of difficulty

Pretty easy to do, I did em on my LS long time ago. Don’t remember then being difficult. V6.

2000 Lincoln LS - Where do I go from here?

Throw a used transmission at it, my LS at 324k was on it’s 4th or 5th transmission. Don’t remember already.

00 Lincoln LS with a 02 Jag S Type steering wheel?

Jag Steering wheel. There you go, it does fit if you use a Jaguar airbag also, however you have to trim a bit from the inside of the steering wheel to make it fit, not visible once it is on. Also the buttons are opposite side on the Jag, so you have to use the Lincoln buttons.

Are any dealers honest these days?

Find a local individual mechanic who will charge just labor and have him swap parts for you. I am sure one is available.

How far can this car go?

Nice! Oh yea you gotta change the solenoid, mine went bad right after someone rearended me, Temps were find if the car was moving, but when in traffice with 90 plus weather the temps would crip up. Takes about 15 min to replace it on a V6, mine had a leak anyway, no problems since then...

How far can this car go?

Yes, takes me about 6 hrs to swap it. It’s not bad at all.

Are any dealers honest these days?

Why don’t you just buy the parts then have a shop or a local individual mechanic replace em? You can buy good motorcraft parts from ebay or rockauto, ball joints yes buy a pair that is 80$ or so non motorcraft and have someone swap everything out. Sway bar end links are super easy to change...

How far can this car go?

I am on 308000miles, 01 V6 sport auto. Trannies are the weak point, i am on my 4th (?) one, but again i just switch another used one in there when they go bad, knock on wood this last one has been the best one yet, better than the original one. Engine is untouched other than tune ups, some...

    Moog quality....

I only go for motorcraft links, moogs went bad on me in 4 months or so, that said i am on my second reconditioned motorcraft rack and it started being noisy after a week both. Even detroilaxle rack i had before these lasted 10 months, they are all junk. Have to get a used factory one looks like. ‍♂️

    Jag Steering wheel.

Jag shifter is different, doesn’t have a button on it.

    Jag Steering wheel.

Looks good. Wish LS had options when it came to wood design and color. That Jag wheel has a better quality feel to it then the LS wheel especially the airbag in leather. A sport steering without wood would be pretty cool.

    My 2001 LS light restoration

Sorry missed your reply, Yes adapters have their own studs, the original studs come out very little (1/2 inch?) no problems with the jag wheels fitting or oem wheels, the studs go into those pockets nicely. Trannys are used, you take a chance with em, but this car has 305000 miles so it’s ok...
