The rear diff shell looks like the same but one thing I found is the rear track width of the 2005 jag s type is 60.7Inches, and we all know the knuckles are almost the same and the control arms. The hub might be the same spline count... the differential side might have more splines tho like...

Ok thx but thats funny i thought someone had a way around and could just remove the rear end by removing the axles etc removing coupler and the mount bolts

Has anyone took the rear out before that could tell me what tools I need to drop the rear itself i have everything to remove the suspention just want to know what is holding the rear in , many thanks

Old thread but didnt want to post a new one... one side on my rear diff where the cv axle goes in there is about a 3/8 to 1/4 up and down play so figured its the diff carier bearing.. is this hard to replace ?? What kit do i need and what tools its a 2000 lsv8 .thanks kit or i pull one from...

Fixed, runs better that it used to , not 100% sure if it was the sesor but think it was the cpk wire. as soon as I wiggled it while my buddy cranked it fired and all is good now

Sad to see a junked ls in better shape than mine the jacking points werent even caved in lol...... Grabbed 3 crank sensors at upull paid 25$ 30 day warranty why not this ls had 142k km.. if that is the problem with my ls and works gonna cancel the order that I placed for 66$

Ok so I have voltage to the engine bay fuse box at every fuses. BUT ONLY if I put one lead on the fuse and the other lead on the body... What does this indicate?

I will try to check the fuse box connections and wires later at -40 with no garage its rough lol. But the thing I dont understand is fog lights and other stuff is working and is on that box, starter solenloid etc cause it cranks

Oops forgot to update lol when i fixed the timing jump it had jumped more than a teeth and when i done it i only skipped it from 1. Went with the flats, looked ok but my eyes were off .. so had to re do it skip 1 more teeth and that was the fix

been running FVP for two years now no issue never had a leak since. has good looking thick sturdy constuction. just the pipe outlets are like 1/8 of a inch smaller but thicker,, I used wider clamps with the regular hose n got it real tight. Third one on rockauto $96USD + tax and shipping.
