Swapping transmission to a junkyard transmission and looking for any tips etc for the swap. It's almost out but going to put a torque converter front seal on it. Any vids or tips on that ? I see it's countersunk about 1/8th inch or so.

Ok ok ,I've heard aamaco Only then I've heard dealer only. I'm just gonna start with aamaco and get an estimate. Just didn't want a rebuild and find out it was something electronic Etc etc

Still haven't pulled the trigger. I drive it every so often and it seems to be getting better but still erratic mr i can feel it shift early and it revs to 4-5k before it shifts around 30 ,then it goes like a bat out of hell.

Also ,I did change the throttle body out with a new one and there was absolutely no change.

Just drove it around today ,hoping by some miracle that it would start working......it did not. The car barely shifts at a much higher than normal rpm and makes a high squeal when it does shift and then down shifts right back into first again but if I am very careful in the gas pedal ,it will...

Ok ,i gave the symptoms to both these eBayers and they both gave me their input and were outstanding in customer service including a free valve body to help me out.

Folks on eBay that sold me the solenoid said that it sounds like it's the valve body and not the solenoid. (I kinda thought they were the same thing) and the company ,also in eBay,that fixed the ECM said that it sounded like they may have installed some bad chips in the transmission module...

Ugggh yeah i am trying to replace the entire throttle body next. The person that installed the solenoid said that he was unsure of the connector on top was in securely enough and now I'm questioning that work

Damn,but it shifts halfway decent when it's cool. Someone said it could be a sensor on the transmission or a throttle body sensor. This is a nightmare

Now I drove it today and when it gets warm it won't shift at all and revs to the limiter and goes about 40 mph max.

Ok ,thanks for the replies. It's really erratic and it revs really high in 2nd maybe 1st gear and rarely if ever shifts into the next gear ,whatever that may be

Ok that is what I was afraid of but I was hearing people talk about the COPs causing major issues.
