Thanks for all the information and the link. I'm going to have to stew about this for a bit. I've been thinking about getting a newest generation Continental, used, but had planned to get some more miles out of the LS before making the change.

I have to admit that I'm hesitant to buy used parts on-line. Does anyone have a recommendation for the springs, other than NOS or low-mile salvage? Also, has anyone tried the Eibach lowering springs? I added a lot of other parts to keep the steering geometry while lowering a Mustang 5.0...

I'm curious about where you're sourcing the Bilstein shocks. All I've been able to find were universal fit. Where do you get the Jaguar Springs from? Are they a performance upgrade?

Do the springs need to be replaced and sag because of corrosion or just carrying the vehicle weight?

I think that I need shocks too. I have 131,000 miles on my 2005 V8 LS. I've read posts here dissatisfied with the Monroe shocks. Has anyone tried KYB?

I picked the LS up this afternoon and it's fixed. The exhaust was up against the frame. They adjusted it and it's now back to near normal. A little louder than stock, but not much. Amazing how many sounds came from having the exhaust in contact with the frame. Thank you for your help...

No worries, my intelligence isn't easily insulted. The dealer ordered the parts and tried to do the work. I drove it again this evening and it vibrates a lot at 20, 30 and 50 mph... and at startup. If I hover at the right rpm it'll vibrate continuously. I'm going to seek a fix/correction...

I have a 2005 LS, V8. I recently had a CEL that signaled a failed catalytic converter. Local Ford dealer attempted to replace the entire catalytic converter assembly, both left and right and associated tubes. They tried two different Magnaflow assemblies. Problems with angle of converter...

When I took my LS to the dealer for this work, I gave him a set of each of those gasket types. They weren't that expensive and I didn't want them to take it apart and then not have the correct gaskets in-hand. I was told that the mechanic said those blocks were left on and they were installed...

Those gaskets worked, as did the gaskets for both ends of the intake. I just had it repaired at the end of last week. No problems, other than the $662 for the work, which was listed on the bill without any mention of hours. I provided the parts, all bought on ebay.

Thanks. My LS is a 2005, so I'm obviously hoping they'll fit. I'll post the outcome here when I take it in for repair. Waiting until after the holidays to take it in. I had read a thread here that the black bits just helped position them during assembly. I'll end up buying the Rover parts...
