2001 Lincoln LS V8 with a 3.9L engine (tuned/chipped by Ford). Car was rear-ended (see pictures for damage) but bumper and trunk is the only thing affected. Car drives and runs well (see below for other minor issues). Car was recently inspected and has no check-engine light on nor any...

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

B4 is the standard shock meant for a 3.0L, and the B6 would be the stiffer one, similar to a Sport shock for a 3.9L, from what I understand.

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

Sounds good, thanks so much 04_Sport! I think I will end up ordering the B6 shocks from Summit Racing and wait as oddball is doing right now. On a side note, I actually found some rear Sport shocks on some European websites but they are all related to each other as they have the same layout...

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

Sadly, it's a bit late for that as I've already replaced the fronts with Motorcraft Sport shocks ('01 3.9L V8), so I will get the B6 shocks if I were to change the rear ones next.

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

I should have stated I was referring to the rear shocks, so even with the B6 I should be okay with a direct drop-in...I hope. Thanks oddball.

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

Okay, so just to be clear on things...after reading through various threads, googling, etc. For a Gen 1 Sport LS (2001), will the Bilstein B4 be a direct drop-in replacement or do I need to change springs as well? And what if I want to go with the B6 shock like oddball is? Thanks everyone for...

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

Thanks again for your info brickr. I replaced the front shocks with Motorcraft ASH24464 which should be the direct OEM replacement for the sport shocks.

Wow, that is some great info brickr, thanks so much! I wonder if these would fit the 3.9L Sport?

My kingdom for sport rear shocks

A few months ago I went down the same road in search of rear shocks. ASH24468 was the "new" part number for the rear shocks but they are long gone. RockAuto seems to have some Monroe shocks for the rears which is what I was going to go with when I get to replacing the rears (did the fronts...

    Strut Replacement?

Hi everyone, thanks for replying guys. So, it took a bit of investigating but it looks like ASH24465 which is cross-referenced as BU2Z-18V124-S has a white dot on it based on a few pics I found. It is listed as being for the v6. So the white dot seems to mean "Performance suspension" which is...

    Strut Replacement?

I'm glad to find some recent info on doing the struts as I am in a bit of a bind with getting struts for my 2001 LS V8 with the sport package. Thanks to everyone that has posted. thenextdon13: I guess you had the sport package also so the ASH24465 worked for you? I found one ASH24464 on...

2001 Lincoln LS Rear bumper cover (Color code: BQ/Light Parchment Gold) Wanted

Looking to buy BQ color code (gold color) rear bumper cover for a 2001 Lincoln LS (2000-2002 is good too). With chrome or painted trim is fine. Need it in decent shape as I don't want to repaint/refinish it. I can pick up almost anywhere in the Hudson Valley or in NYC.
