Ok I will look into that for sure. The one question that I have though is that if the culprit was to be one of the things you pointed out shouldn't the vibration be constant regardless of the temperature? For example, today was a little warmer (around 50F) and I only felt very slight vibrations.
Hey guys,
I drive a 04 v6 and recently, outside temp as been constantly below 32F and I've been noticing a clear vibration in my steering wheel and in my brake pedal when I am stopped at a light/stop (idling). It does it everytime (not only when the vehicule is cold). When I'm driving though I...
Hey guys, spring is slowly coming up here in Quebec and I have a couple projects for my Ls. I found almost everything I was looking for but there is one thing I have yet to buy that I will need upper and lower intake manifold gaskets.
I saw a couple of sets on amazon/rock auto and I would...
I do not remember if I saw it but I did not turn the TC off. So I guess this could be a logic explanation because around 3000rpm spinning on ice the TC should normally come on. The thing is, while trying to get unstuck the car was literally shaking from what's possibly the engine vibration or...
Hey guys,
Could not last a week before noticing something else I think is unusual on my LS. (I have the 04 v6).
So,a couple hours ago I got stuck in snow after sliding on a spot of black ice and ending up on the side of the road (thank god it did not damage the paint). I tried to get...

You'll be able to find a OEM throttle body probably a couple hundred bucks less. I am not an expert at mecanics but your mec shouldnt need to remove your intake to change the throttle body. Also, if it's really the throttle body that need to...
Didn't have time yet to get at the garage but it is a lot warmer than last week (0 Celsius instead of -20 Celsius) and I can see a noticeable difference. Right now the ``dead spot`` is barely noticeable.Still going to go at the garage and try to found out if it is a real problem or if it was...
Thanks for the help everyone ! I'm going to bring my car in a garage as soon as I have a few hours of free time. I'll keep the hints you gave me in mind and tell that to my mec. Hopefully, with a test drive he'll be able to put the finger on the problem. At least for now it's not a significant...
If one of you guys could show me how to quote more than 1 people in the same reply would be great. I must say that the past week when I really noticed that my problem was more obvious then before the temperature was around -20 Celsius (don't know how much it is in Fahrenheit). No need to say...
ETC failsafe mode was not triggered recently. It did happened a couple time but end up it was because of a bad ABS speed sensor. Changed it and did never happened again.
Hey everybody, I did search before posting. The closest thread I found similar to my problem is this one :
http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-85272.html . Unfortunatly the guy didnt have the exactly same problem that I have and therefore that is why I am posting this...
Yes indeed I'm better off removing/replacing the snapped bolt. Is it possible to remove the snapped bolt without removing the intake manifold itself (drilling threw the remainder of the snapped bolt ) ? Im asking this because removing the IM on the v6 is quite a long job especially if I go to a...
Hey guys, I've done some research before posting this but I did not find anything that really answered my question.
I currently have a 04 LS v6 and I have noticed that my idle (at the car's normal operating temperature) seems to go up and down a little. For example, at a stop my car idle at...
Here is the link to ford giants part transmission gear parts: http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts-list/2004-lincoln-ls/gear-change-automatic-transmission.html . Does the micro-switch perhaprs you we're talking about is in that link?
