yeah what i was trying to say is the heater core dont seem to be getting water and yes when i took the plastic screw out of the heater bleed i did get a stream of water coming out, I will try to see if the degas bottle is cracked and you dead right about that engine fill cap,that thing cracked...

i bleed the cooling system,i got water going thru the motor, when i bleed the coolant i also got a steady stream from the bleeding line,i just put the thermostat in there about a week ago.never replaced the housing or degas bottle. its a v8 to by the way
