1996 Town Car Speedometer going crazy

Lots of folks fixed this problem by replacing a bad alternator diode pack. I know, that sounds a bit far fetched.. but if you can test for AC voltage coming from the alternator you'll see the problem. All your other electronics are taking a beating too.

    97 conti irmc location

A constant miss can be traced to the effected cylinder by pulling spark plug wires and watching the idle effect. An intermittent miss is more elusive, but you did get a clue with the initial CEL code, Cyl #4 Misfire. I would concentrate on #4 first; checking the wires, plug, coil...

    Brakes losing pressure

The only way for brake fluid to be on the pedal is from a leak in the master cylinder. It would be consuming brake fluid, possibly filling the brake booster, then following the push-rod path to the pedal arm. Extreme excess would be sucked up the vacuum line to the intake manifold. Theoretically.

    What size speakers!!!!!

Sounds like you had a new head unit installed. Adding a CD changer to our cars where there wasn't one installed from the factory is not a simple task; Ford (in their infinite wisdom) neglected to add the changer harness unless there was a changer. Yes, with a new head unit, most installers...

    What size speakers!!!!!

Woah..... There sure is a factory Amp in the back, also an RCU (radio control unit), one on either side of the spare tire. These are both shiny metal boxes. There's also, if equipped, a Sub Box. It's black plastic and located directly above the spare tire.

    What size speakers!!!!!

My bad.. CoAx is old school for Two Way... In the JBL link above, the recommendation is 2 way in the front, and 3 way in the rear. A 'way' was considered at one time to be any 'way' the sound can be produced, including ports and dummy cones. These days, a 'way' is more commonly known as...
