I think shipping would be to high for this. Plus, it's not in mint condition. Left the car at a friends house and now the interior has mold. Trim pieces among a few other interior parts are still fine. Waiting for updated pics from my friend.
Car is the sports edition.
Parting out an 01 LSV8. Car has tan interior, tan exterior. Engine has broken timing chain guides. Anything you need please Pm me. The car is 3 hours away from me in concord, NC. Local pickup preferred on larger items. Everything on the car is for sale. This POS will be crushed next weekend!
I don't get why these cars have so many differences. Just trying to get a replacement engine for my LS but nothing works but that car that year, drives me crazy.
Found two 2000 Jag S-Types in a junk yard that has the 4.0 V8. Everything I've read said the engines are the same as the 3.9 LS. My LS is an 01 model. Has anyone ever replaced a motor with the jag version? Seems it should be a direct swap over but want to make sure before I buy the motor. I know...
I went to a junk yard yesterday looking for the arm rest for my 01. Didn't know there were 2 types of arm rests for the gen 1. I ended up buying the arm rest for the hidden cup holder version which is bigger. The one I need is the smaller exposed cup holder type.
I also have the plastic...
Why can't it be flipped for cheap? Got the car for 1000 delivered from 2 hours away. Has almost new tires. Found an engine for 800 with 90k miles. Car needed one low beam head light bulb (10 dollars) and a drivers side interior door handle that I bought from a junk yard for 10 dollars.
Trying to put as little as possible into this car. I bought the car cheap so I could swap the engine and flip for a profit. I'm not even a Ford fan lol.
I just want to swap in a low mileage engine to get it on the road. I bought it to have a decent DD. I want the gen two for the metal chain guides. The motor in the car now was destroyed by the plastic guides.
Looks like the intakes could be swapped out to resolve the issue. Unless the water jackets are different on the block you could mount the old system to the gen 2 aswell.
The way I see it I can buy the gen 2 engine and swap the intakes. CPU doesn't check for vtc in gen 1's so it shouldn't affect anything.... I would think.
I bought an 01 LSV8 yesterday with a blown motor. I've found a junk yard local that has an 03 engine. I can't find any information if it would be a direct swap from a 1st gen to 2nd gen engine. The intake manifold is different since the gen 1 has the throttle body near the fire wall. So that...
