me and you did the opposite i just got rid of my 96 deville for a 01 ls, but i went 256 thousand miles before my head gasket went and my cousin has a 2001 dts with 196 thousand no serious problems yet. just keep a eye on your cooling system and keep up on on your maintenance

I had the same exact problem when I first purchased mine(least of my problems) and it was my cats, didn't lose power untill my light came on trust me they are on the way out 1200 for the whole job at the dealer

my uncle had a simlair problem with his 02 ls v8, he changed both rear calipers and problem went away. hope that helps

I replaced mine using a simple one like this http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/prodimages/sony/cdx-gt35u-large.jpg and a aftermaket single din kit and it fit nice i will see if i cant get a pic up of it at work right now
