Anyone considering the new Taurus SHO as your next car?

I'm not sure why C&D reported such bad braking results. I wonder if they had a weaker pre-production model. On other website reviews, the braking seems pretty decent.

Anyone considering the new Taurus SHO as your next car?

A Chrysler 300C costs $40K and more than the SHO? You got to be kidding me, no wonder Chrysler went bankrupt. Plus the interior of the 300 sucks.

Wait, was the body-matching colored grille your own addition, or the Limited Edition installation?

Very nice LL! You could always replace the Lincoln star with a bat. :)

"Cash for Clunkers" puts the LS where is belongs

Well, Chevrolet is at least one of the brands that will stick around in the new GM. The Equinox looks better, and the brakes are better too, IMO.

"Cash for Clunkers" puts the LS where is belongs

Nearly bought a loaded 2010 Edge Limited (Navi + Vista Roof + 20" alloys) for $29,600 using the Clunkers yesterday, but decided to hold off. Am thinking of the new 2010 Equinox as well.

don't forget to get the back-massaging seats.

Anyone considering the new Taurus SHO as your next car?

Keep in mind that all of the new reviews only tested the base SHO, not the SHO with the performance pack (upgraded brakes, tuning, etc.). I like the EcoBoosted MKS better myself. :)

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

Hey hey, I never said the MKS was a *direct* replacement for the LS, although it does replace the LS. :) The MKS also replaces the Conti, TC, and as someone else mentioned, the Mark VIII. So the Taurus is a distance cousin.

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

MKS isn't the Town Car replacement. If you look at Lincoln's sizing chart, it slots closer to the Continental. But since there is as yet no Town Car, Continental, or LS replacement, you could say it replaces all three.

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

Well, their upcoming Boss/Coyote 5.0L V-8 for the 2011 Mustang outputs 4-500 hp and 4-500 (max 750) lb-ft of torque. Is that enough? :)

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

It does not directly replace the LS, but it replaces the voids left by both the Continental and the LS.

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

Supposedly it comes with lower and upper massaging seats. Can't wait to try those out. :)

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

Yeah, sorry about that. It is indirectly Lincoln LS related since the MKS replaces the LS, and the MKS and the Taurus share similar mechanical underpinnings, as well as the same EcoBoost engine. :)

It's official- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with EcoBoost- 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

That's 0.2 seconds faster than a V-10 powered Audi S6. :) Mixed reviews from Car and Driver: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/furious_four_doors/2010_ford_taurus_sho_ecoboost_road_test/(page)/1 Positive initial reviews from Edmunds: "FORD BUILDS a BMW"...

First review of the Eco-Boosted 2010 MKT and MKS

Slight revision: the original TwinForce that debuted with the MKR RWD coupe concept could produce 415 hp, not 450 hp, pardon me. From Ford's website: "Combining the high octane found in E-85 or premium gasoline with TwinForce technology allows the Lincoln MKR’s V-6 to deliver 415 horsepower and...
