My 2000 TC has a sticker on the side of the trunk hinge. I wasn't sure it was the right sticker at first because I didn't know how to use the keypad but it is the right sticker and I was able to set my own custom code too. Sure beats calling the locksmith if I ever lock the keys in the car!

In the 2000 TC the schematic shows a LB/WH wire (fused 20Amp) from the "central distribution box" under the dash. This wire is supposed to be "hot at all times".

I can take a look in the 2000 TC shop manual for a drain and refill procedure after work today. Sounds like you may have an air pocket trapped someplace??? Maybe it won't take the whole 4 gallons if you didn't get all the coolant out of the block when you drained it???

I'm no expert but assuming you're using your own code scanner I'd bring it to an auto parts store for a free scan and see if they can pick up a code. They are always successful on my 2000 TC. For the lighter issue I can check the schematic for my 2000 and see if I can shed some light on where...

I've tried the on/off routine before cranking and sometimes it seems to help and other times not so much. Lately the problem seems to be all but disappeared on it's own but that could be a result of the cooler weather we've had since the problem was at it's worst when it was hot outside...
