Do you know those are sealed units and are not meant to be rebuilt in the field. The bearings have a built in pre load from the factory. I would suspect the one you reconditioned will fail as prematurely as well. You should buy new hubs (bearings are installed). They are not all too expensive...

Get a new radiator and a transmission cooler and by pass using the radiator as a trans cooler. In your part of the world this is a desirable move. For us northern folks we need to use the cooler in line after the radiator to warm the fluid up in the cold weather. Flushing is a waste of money...

are you sure its a head gasket? Are you seeing bubbles in the coolant tank? It might be a bad gasket at the oil filter housing.

Did you check the oil for any contamination?
