How can I tell if my 03 V8 Lincoln ls is a Gen2?

Is there a difference if that P0108 reads input instead of output? Replacing the EGR would take care of the problem?

When driving on the highway and city streets car runs perfectly fine but when stopped at a redlight or stop sign car begins to vibrate...it's not an intense vibration but just enough to be an annoyance also when placed in park vibration stops...can somebody pls shed some light on the situation...
