Does anyone know if a 97 blend door will work in a 96 mark viii. And is there any easy way to replace this blend door ? It looks like a nightmare at first glance.

Your starter relay is on the right side behind the glove box. You might want to look at that too.

I don't believe the IMRCs are monitored by the computer on a 95 so you wouldn't get a code if one is bad. That would definitely affect your idle(too lean) but I don't know about the surging.

Check those wires mentioned earlier. The ones on the driver's side trunk hinge. When you unplug the module to see if your short goes away make sure you unplug ALL 3 plugs. There's one on the front and two on the back. If you need any wiring diagrams let me know, I have Alldata.

I've got to go with the technology. Everybody has big blocks in their old school muscle cars, it's nice to see something different.

Alright, I found the problem if anyone else is having the same troubles I was. The keyless/remote entry module in the trunk is bad. I took it apart and found 4 burnt circuits on the circuit board.

I thought a mallet was a balancer install tool:)
