no ac, abs system cooling system pulling to the right

Couple of things that I've recently found helpful with managing the LS cooling system: 1.) For slow weeping or slow drip type leaks, try using Bar's Leaks High Mileage Cooling System Repair Additive. Follow the directions on the label precisely. It works very effectively. 2.) Replace or top...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Is the ss gasket to left of the nut? I just sprayed that junction (and the plastic tubes on EGR) with WD-40 and did not notice a decrease in idle.

    Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Thanks for the leads on the possible cause... EGR valve was not replaced but likely moved out of the way during the repair. I've had the EGR plastic tubes fail before but it has set a MIL when that happens (btw the plastic EGR tube assy is obsolete.) Is the ss gasket sandwiched between the two...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Yep understand now... so it was the Fuel Pressure Sensor that sits at the front of the pass side fuel rail. Apparently they broke it while doing a thermostat housing & accessory drive belt repair and they replaced the sensor with a generic aftermarket brand and only informed me about it when I...

    Fuel Pressure Regulator?

When you replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator, is there an idle or fuel trim calibration that you have to run? A shop replaced my Fuel Pressure Regulator with a non Motorcraft one and my Idle got messed up (too high 750-800 rpm when in D and a shift to too low of an rpm when in P after idling...

    LS stuff in Gulfport MS

Yes, would most definitely be interested in the vacuum tubes and possibly other items you might still have. BTW was that it an EGR Control Valve body that the Vacuum Tube Connector assy connected to? As I recall that EGR Control Valve had a failure mode about once every 100k. Thanks Joegr...

    LS stuff in Gulfport MS

Any chance the *two 3W4Z-9E498-BA EGR vacuum connector tube assemblies, one used and one new in sealed original package* are available or possibly anything else on your list of LS goodies? Wish you the very Best. Your service to the LS community has been an honor.

    Side mirrors

Does anyone have an internal diagram of the mirror glass clip to motor attach points? There are 3 or 4 white plastic pins and one white U-clip. Can't figure out how the white U-clip attaches. Prying off the mirror glass the way the video shows is a recipe for ending up with a loose fitting...

2005 Lincoln LS v8 exhaust smell

Checked and confirmed there is light suction at the oil fill when the engine is running also oil on dipstick looks normal (no milkshake.) Had some cooling issues about a year ago with a cracked thermostat housing and a transient coolant leak (came and went away) this summer when the weather got...

2005 Lincoln LS v8 exhaust smell

Thanks Joegr... Great leads on that. No oil consumption, but have noticed some loss of coolant. I'm afraid to ask what the diag and fix for that would be. Assume coolant may be making its way to the combustion chamber or oil. Will chk on the suction at the oil fill.

2005 Lincoln LS v8 exhaust smell

Wish it was that traceable, but at idle after fully warmed-up I'm getting a steady stream of dark white smoke coming out from the tailpipes. Almost like morning condensate smoke, but would have expected to be no smoke or condensate after warm-up. The smell is like a heavy 'burnt exhaust'. Veh...

2005 Lincoln LS v8 exhaust smell

06LS having that "burnt exhaust" smell (can't really say sulfur) accompanied with a small but continuous stream of 'darkish white' smoke as well. Had COP issues that required a PCM replacement. Do you think the cats are shot?

    Replace Knock Sensors?

Knock Sensors don't wear out. Unless you see any melted wiring or broken connectors, I wouldn't touch them. They are really sensitive to the torque applied to their retaining bolt.

Transmission harsh shift issues. Confirm my suspicions?

Thanks... Do you recommend SIA Electronics for the diag and repair? Hopefully they can salvage the PCM's SW. The VIN matching and key programing can be a pain (need to transport the vehicle to a Ford/Lincoln dealer for a PCM SW flash) if they wipe the SW clean.

Transmission harsh shift issues. Confirm my suspicions?

What was done specifically to the PCM to fix your rough trans shift issue? New PCM? New software flashed onto PCM?

    Rust on Speaker Grill

I don't like playing around with rust, peeling, or abrasion anymore. I use a good paint sealant or wax (Wolfgang, Chemical Guys, Pinnacle, Meguires,... a lot of excellent choices out there) to coat any susceptible trim pieces (speaker grills, sill plates,...) It makes a big difference.

    Rust on Speaker Grill

I recommend using a toothbrush to gently remove the rust from the speaker grills. After that, you can then use a light coating of your favorite paint sealant or wax to protect the speaker grill from rusting again!

    Lincoln LS Aftermarket Emblems!

I'm in need of 2 trunk emblems Gen2 as well. Could you restore them if I sent them to you? If not, could you possibly describe how to restore them?

Puddle lamps not working shortly after LED Brighlights install????

How did you replace the incandesent bulb with an LED in the Puddle Lamp. I pulled the puddle lamp assy out of the mirror housing and the bulb is inside an 'enclosed' (looks sealed) socket assy.

PCM Replacement VIN Mismatch Gen2 LS

Just discovered that my Cruise Control on my 06LS has stopped working (no engagement lights nothing.) Before the PCM replacement it worked fine. Was something possibly missed in the PCM reflash process?
