Been 3 months, how do SCP components hold up?

Back to the original question about the wheel hitting the spindle, is the rubber bumper that goes on the strut rod at the lca end still there? That was a recall for that problem.

    Broken driver seat

I had a Mark VIII with a broken seat frame. Probably similar to the LS seat. I took the seat apart and welded a piece if flat steel inside the frame. Worked fine. Never broke again. Love my LS but I sure miss the Mark!

    Where is my PCM

Its in the rt rear of engine compartment. You have to remove all the plastic cowling back there around the air intake for the a/c and heat.

    Thinking about taking the "plunge"

What are you going to do with the Mark? I sold my 98 Mark after I bought my LS but I miss it. More fun to drive and you can get sideways from a stop. And with a stock Lincoln that gets 23 mpg or better.

    A/C needs a boost

It's on the compressor manifold right next to the compressor. Look under the left front of the engine through the wheel well area. There is a plastic splash shield you may have to remove but can probably work around it.

    LS torque conv lockup

p0743 is a code for open torque convertor clutch solenoid circuit. Check the connectors on the trans for water or corrosion. If ok, solenoid pack will probably fix problem. p0741 is probably caused by p0743 since the clutch won't lock because of he solenoid.

    Heater Problem

Check the aux coolant pump. With the key on and temp set at 90 should be able to feel or hear pump running. Usually causes low or no heat at idle but I have seen it cause no heat at all engine speeds also.

    96 Marm VIII

Thanks for your opinions. As far as parts and any kind of work the car will need is not really a problem for me since I work for a Ford dealer. We have access to Vintage parts and I can do any work myself. I called the dealer and they won't go more than $100 under the ebay price. That is...

Hey guys, I just wanted to get your opinion of this Mark. I used to have a 98 LSC but sold it to get an LS. I really miss my Mark and I generally like th 2nd gen the best but this 96 is really clean and low miles. I'm really considering this car and may call the dealer with an offer. $7900 is...

    Electronic Parking Brake Malfunction

The elctronic parking brake still uses cables just like the manual parking brakes so I think one or more of the cables are rusted and stuck. Since the brake was probably never used or rarely used would contribute to this. Also the software has no sensor to check tension so it would not know the...
