Well I left it attached to the rear when i dropped the trans so I just reconnected the ujoint so I dont know how I could have messed it up..... alright shes up in the air. Any tricks i should know when dropping the tank etc to get the driveshaft out?
Got the straps off. Seems to be something...
Just put a new trans in my mark. Drives and shifts fine. At 40mph and up there's a humming driveline vibration. Thinking a U joint since I put the old one back in but it didnt make this noise before the trans rebuild. It's totally speed dependent, not gear dependent. Any ideas?
The front bumper cover is pretty chipped up and I was wondering what they looked like. I have seen some vehicles that don't look bad with a car bra. No need for the inquisition. I saw that J.C. Whitney made some but couldn't find any pics.
Ohhhhh crap. I didn't even know that this side...
I was thinking about that but I was a lil freaked that it might tear up the motor mounts or anything thats kinda tight under there if the motor shifted. Pinch a line or something. Looks like i have a line on an 02 gt auto complete. Hope it'll work out.
Oh yah the operating conditions. It was whirring for about two or three miles and got out and checked fluid asap. Nothing weird just the noise. So i'm trying to limp it back home via highway. I put a new cooler on it and the hot side is almost cold enough to grip bare handed so not that hot...
Well. It was goin great. No leaks or acting up for about 700 miles then wiiiiiiirrrrr poof no gears. Let it cool off, gears. Warms up and nothing.
So I drained it and am ready to take it out and attempt my first auto rebuild. I'm wondering if i have to drop the gas tank to get to the...
You should do that man! With photos, and a part about the heater core. It would be much appreciated. I've seen no writeups about the heater core with pics.

Thats the plan. Got the cooler this evening. Running it stand alone. Hope its enough.
I got this one. http://www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Automatic-Transmission-SuperCoolers/Automatic-Transmission-SuperCooler-rated-at-9-800-BTU-11x5-3-4x3-4. Now wondering if I should grab a new rad even though its...
So she's driving the car and it over heats. She goes to a mechanic and it seems that the tank in the rad cracked and the fluids got mingled. So he flushed the transmission. Then the transmission started acting up. All within 100 miles of itself. It sat for about 3-4 months. I decide to check it...
I'll have to go see what it takes to rip this thing out then. I got a handful of odds and ends to pick for the interior as I tackle and weird intermittent trannie prob. Just grabbed the 98 LSC two days ago. The front page over here seems to be a bit cluttered up with..... useful posts. I'm all...
Is there a writeup anywhere on how to fix the haze in the mirror like you've been doing? I'd like to take a crack at it myself. I have the same problem.
