that thing has been parked for weeks now. got sick of burning money for nothing. just gonna sell it, been looking at a couple SCed sn95s, prob gonna jump in one of those. this thing has been a piece of junk from the start and im sick of it.
LOL blueberry.. yeah ive replaced every single part of the cooling system other than heads and im certainly not doing that. yeah i could drive around with no hood like the ricers do to show off their chrome cold air intake and color plug wires LOL. i always do pop the hood and leave it...
i didnt say 90% OF THESE CARS i said 90% of these cars with the constant overheating problem. ive replaced EVERY component of the cooling system minus the heads, ive bled it, blah blah.. since youre so knowledgeable why dont you come fix this lemon lol ;-) ive had plenty of issues with this...
ive run across several people that have gotten rid of them because of this. also had a tech from ford garage say 90% of these that overheat have cracks in the heads that causes it. glad yours wasnt junk like this one lol.
hydraulic fan? i have replaced the stock fan with a better stronger electric fan and it spins just fine. still overheating, going to just sell for whatever i can get and move on, these things are junk.
bled it per spec and over heated the next day. its gotta be head damage because EVERYTHING else has been replaced and theres no thermostat in it. its going to the scrapyard, im done messing with it..
haha, there becomes a point where they need to lay off. i made a huge mistake in getting one of these junkers. id have a ford small block or gm LS based motor over this ANY DAY. i keep hoping when it overheats that it will pop the motor so im FORCED to swap it for a 5.0 or LS1 lol..
thats pretty ridiculous, ive owned about 30 cars and NEVER ONCE had to do anything like this. these things are such sensitive pieces of junk, should have never traded my ls1 for this lemon.
ok so im about to sell or ground the ls for a while to do a motor swap if i cant get it to stop overheating. i know this is a common issue with these pieces of junk but i need a final solution. i have literally changed every single bit of the cooling system, including the fan. still...
no no no VALVE COVER GASKETS, i dont know how we got on HEAD GASKETS, was gonna do valve cover gaskets!! NOT head gaskets.. sorry for the confusion, idk how it got mixed up, i may have just brain farted it all. LOL.... slaps forehead....
head gaskets because its 117,xxx miles and im gonna be right at em in doing the rest of the junk. kinda same with belt, its making just a little bit of noise sometimes and im gonna just go ahead and replace it while im messing with all the rest. just have a car "tune up" day. also oil change.
haha i locked myself out of the house (had a knob that would turn inside if locked) in my boxer briefs AND IT WAS SNOWING.. walked 5ft to throw a bag of trash in the big can on back porch and wind sucked door shut and locked me out in 20* and basically naked HAHA... im prob gonna do the coils...
thanks alot Zr0.. how long did it take you guys to do them apprx. just wondering so i can plan when to do them and have adequate time. cant take too long i wouldnt imagine.
