I had the same problem on my 04' couldn't find it anywhere, I eventually took it to the dealer, and they can hook it up and tell you what it is, I knew someone who worked their so it was free, but I think they usually charge 75.00 hope this helps

thanks for help guys, after about 1/2 hour of disassembling everything, and about another three hours of trying to squeeze it out of the space they leave you to replace this thing, I finally got it changed out,

I have checked the threads but havent found anything on this, before I start taking apart the top of my engine, how difficult is it to replace an alternator on a 2001 Lincoln LS V8 ? Is this something I can do in my driveway, or do I need any special tools? Any feed back would be great, thanks
