so today i hit a deer going 65mph with my navigator...ok,busted headlamp,dented bumper reinforcement,busted bumper,the hood was also dented,the headlamp bracket or support was also busted,but there is a fiberglass piece that goes between the grille and the bumper,now, does anyone know what this...

allright,i found out whats wrong wit my navigator...low compression on cylinder #8,only 50 psi. rough idle cause: burnt exhaust or intake valve...remedy:take cylinder head off and replace valve or replace entire cylinder head...cost:im getting estimates of about $2000,but nobody wants to do it...

so i guess no one is going to help me with this one....come on guys!!!!

so,i got a navigator with 111000 miles...when i brought it home the check engine light was on and it had very rough idle,then when i drove it the light was flashing indicating a misfire and the driving was terrible,so i tooked it to autozone for a check engine light test,it came up with cylinder...

im gona try what ground zero says...but this is not a common problem with these type of motor right? i ask because i asked a mechanic about this problem and he told me that the navigators that he looked at had the very same problem due to low cylinder compression,and he scared the sh...t out of...

hey people! i got an issue going on here,,,you see well, im thinking about trading my 2000 lincoln continental for a 2001 navigator...its so nice and its in perfect shape with 110000 miles...well the check engine light threw a code that reads cylinder #8misfire and the engine shakes and sputters...

once, my ex-autotech instructor told me that if the atf looked dirty,i should change it but he also warn me that doing it would cause the transmission to go bad instead of helping it shift better(this applies to vehicles that havent get their maintainance according to manufacturer schedules,cars...

i have a 2000 lincoln conti, and its in great shape..its very fast too(2 fast)!,i noticed that when accelerating hard,the car kinda jerks,like if you were pressing the brakes a little and then letting go. its not very noticeable but just enough to let me notice. i dont know if the previous owner...

pullout #4coil and pull out the spark plug,then attach the spark plug to the coil and start the engine if you see a spark the coil is good,now you can confidently pull the fuel injector out

stick to motorcraft parts,they'll give you original performance,or switch to k&n filters if you want to get a very slight fuel mileage increase,it gets a nice intake noise too!

make sure that the a/c compressor turns on when you turn on the a/c,you should feel the engine idle a little faster,but if you want to be sure,look at the compressor itself,you should see the cluth engaging every little while,if everything works,then you should recharge the system.

your check engine light will flash,indicating that a misfire has ocurred..becareful!!dont drive it for too long or you will melt the catalytic(spelling?)convertor..not fun
