just wondering if anybody knows where I can get the info showing changes or improvements thru-out the yrs for v6

I was told much the same thing for my daughters car..coils plus the whole shot..I did the job myself and it took me all day..next time I will be able to do it in under 4 hrs ( this time I will use the wiper arm remover first)..to make a long story short..the only problem was that the spark plugs...

finally finished up the 6 coil install and new valve cover gaskets etc..no problems with my ebay coil(alanis..)..as said earlier, near new condition..so far very happy

..I could be wrong here, but wasn't there a "TBS on the #1 coil getting to much water on it" ..had something to do with the plastic cover up against the firewall..it seems that the #1 is the first to go and continues to do so..I am new to this,..wondering if anybody can give more info concerning...

...when you say "it worked fine".. are you referring to the whole process of receiving them, or did you actually have the opportunity to install them in your car ..I can hardly wait to install mine, but I have to wait a few days..rain

just had my 6 coils delivered from "alanisdeals"..I was surprised to see how near perfect they look..tight fit onto the plug..hope they work as good as they look..I got the slightly more expensive ones that say "motorcraft" in green..I suppose "green" adds a little more authenticity to them then...

the problem came about 2yrs ago..I was told that it would pre-maturely wear the clutch disc out..makes sense the rpm does not drop soon enough before shifting..time to get a re-newed interest to take care of this problem

2002 Ls v6 ..manual shift..when shifting between the gears, the RPM takes about 5 seconds before it drops..I have been to the ford dealer (2)..both places said that it is something I need to learn to live with..an independant mechanic who himself drives an LS can't help either..I find this hard...
