I don't have a lot of experience reading these codes, but because I got both 174 and 171, I thought it would be unlikely that both O2 sensors went bad at the same time--so that's how I came to the conclusion of the MAF sensor rather than the O2 sensors. Could it be the O2 sensors? Or...

When you do replace them--buy the new ones on ebay. I got 8 of them for $200. I think other people on this board have as well.

Hey Everybody, I was changing the spark plugs on my 01 LS (V8) and was having a hard time getting at the screw on the valve cover that is by the oil dipstick. Does anybody have experience (and some tips) getting this one out? Thanks a bunch. TP
