2002 LS8 swap using 2001 engine.
I posted this a couple hours ago and is not showing up on the thread. Anyway.... I have an '02 LS8 with a bad engine. Parts listings show the V8 as 2002 only. The 2000-2001 engines are more readily available and less expensive. I have read that I can use the earlier V-8's. Just wondering...- frenum49

'02 LS V-8 bad engine, swap question.
Hello, I searched the threads here looking for confirmation that the 2000-2001 3.9 will swap into my 2002. I know that the 03 has VVT and will NOT work. A parts search separates the 00-01 engine from the 02 calling it one year only. As I understand it, there are just a couple sensors that need...- frenum49
