Similar Prob I hear lots of people say they get heat at freeway speeds but i don't get it at all.I've been thru the coolant system and plan to replace the DCCV and Aux pump and hopefully that solves it or at least gets me closer to an end.I'll keep you posted on my progress.

No never used stop leak and never will not a band aid kind of guy.Im gonna check the aux pump and change the DCCV anyway.And I changed the pump actuator and the fan still doesn't kick on high so im done playing with it and am going with the flex a lite conversion.

Im gonna grab a Degas bottle but the radiator,hoses,thermostat and housing unit have all been replaced and i've bled the system per the instuctions and it maintains pressure or so i think.When the car is cold i check the filler cap at the top of the housing and as soon as it's lose it drips out.

Yeah im trying to decide on getting the pump rebuilt again or just buying another.Of course the shop swears the work was done properly.The actuator wouldn't cause the whine at all would it?

Yes the temp will stay at the halfway mark for 30mins to an hr of driving and will start to creep up after that.I've bled the system several times and there are no visable leaks.The hoses were pretty hot to the touch.

Pump whine I have a 2000LS 3.9L and had the cooling pump rebuilt.Now the pump whines like it's low on fluid or under heavy load.The noise matches the rpms but only starts when the car is warm.The fan never kicks on high so i purchased a pressure switch but a friend said the whine wasn't because...

2000 Ls 3.9L I have a similar problem i was told to check the DCCV valve and see if the hoses were hot hot and they were so after i had a diag done they said it was the blend door or actuator.Im in the procees of getting that done done now.
