Yes, I test drove it. The dealer gave it to me overnight before I purchased it. I put over 300 kilometres on the car before I committed. I took it to 2 independent mechanics during that time who both gave it a good going over and said they thought it was ok.

Thanks. I had a friend who is a mechanic take a quick listen tonight and he said it was probably the fluid just a little bit low plus the cold. He recommended an additive I can't think of the name of right now... Good to know about the manual--I missed that when first exploring the site...
