The dealer has put a coil in the compressor and all seems well at this time. So I was told the PCM stopped providing power to the compressor, Then when the PCM was replaced the compressor still did not work so they replaced the coil. Total bill $430 labor, $140 PCM, and 3 weeks to figure it...

Well I gave the dealer the used PCM. They installed it, said all was good (remember all this for the air-conditioner) Wife picked it up, went 2 blocks and the air went out. Back to the dealer for more expiratory surgery....

The dealer was trying to find me a used one too. I called and they’re going to get the codes you requested. He said they would be glad to install, but not guarantee it. I’ll have the codes in an hour or so.

Old battery has vent and so does the new one...And they put a little hose in there to attach to battery just for this purpose...Did not see it till I started to remove it. New battery and Car Starts...:)

I said low compression because heck I never heard the car turn over because the thing usually starts right up (appears normal as is), plus the thing is turning over fine just won't start so the compression thing is just my ignorance. It's a sealed battery, I tryed a jump box and it almost started, charged it all night and it just did start so a battery I will install, Interstate tells me it's a dealer part only $85 in columbus, GA....

Yea less than 9 hr prior I moved it and all was well, Also my wife tells me that it sounded fine on the first turn of the key and it did not start right a way, then the next turn of the key it start mis behaven...

2000 ls V8 sport Engine will turn over but will not start. After a moment of trying I can smell gas, It seems to be turning over fast..Almost like low compression. 70,000 mi plus.. Any ideas? Trey

Is this costly and or difficult job to repair?

sounds like the in tank fuel pump. since car is RWD it uses saddle style tank. One pump shoots gas from one side of the tank to the other. That pump is probably failing. I thought It might be the pump, but why not fail completely. Unaware of the tank design as it may play a part in it's habits...
